Meet Rufus!

Training Level: Halter

Meet Rufus, a 3 years old Salt Wells Mustang who was born in holding. This roan appaloosa has a lot of personality and is a stocky, well built youngster. He came to us with minimal handling and needed some brain retraining, but is halter broke and getting better with his basic ground manners each day. He is very smart but will need a confident handler that can help him build his confidence while not letting him revert back to pushing boundaries and being in charge.

Rufus is currently spending some time with our partners at Summit Valley Horse Center improving his ground skills and learning to be handled by multiple people as he continues to rebuild his trust in humans. They are located in Silverthorne, CO and Rufus can be seen for adoption appointments there.
